My experience with Mr Awad has been amazing - he is professional, kind and explains everything very clearly. I was very nervous on the day of my surgery but Mr Awad and Mr Reynolds (the anaesthetist) were incredibly understanding and compassionate, reassuring me and promising to look after me throughout. I had my surgery with Mr Awad in April at the Burcot hospital. He has been absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, kind, reassuring and so organised. I am a nurse and have come across many consultants in my 38 year career and he is the best so far. All bases covered. He is also genuinely such a lovely person and very patient focused. The whole package of having Mr Awad and Tonic is just priceless. Thank you so much.

I cannot be any more grateful to Mr Awad for literally changing my life for the better. Not only did I receive amazing care before and after my surgery but he went above and beyond my gastric sleeve procedure as he also fixed a hiatus hernia that I had as well as remove a benign lump that he spotted during my operation that he then went onto getting it tested. He is extremely brilliant at what he does and made me feel relaxed throughout the whole process. I had heard such great feedback about him that I actually travelled further just to I could be treated by him and it was most certainly worth it! The recovery plan post surgery was also very thorough too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for anyone considering gastric surgery
